About the Position: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist - Night Shift to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and special diagnostic procedures on clinical specimens to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The Medical Technologist will conduct high-complexity testing, validate and report test results, and ensure proper quality control measures are followed. Responsibilities also include performing instrument and equipment maintenance, managing reagent and supply inventories, and participating in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) OR

    • Certificate of Completion of a Medical Technology Training Program OR

    • Associate Degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related science WITH ASCP Certification as Medical Technologist MT(ASCP)

  • Equipment Operated: PC, printers, scanners

  • Communication Skills:

    • Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)

    • Writing/Composing (Correspondence/Reports)

  • Other Skills: Analytical, Medical Terminology, Research, Statistical, PC, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access

  • Advanced Training/Specialty: Certification by approved certification agencies, i.e., ASCP, NCA, AMT is preferred

  • Other Requirements: Must be willing to travel between HCHD facilities
