About the Position
Harris Health System is seeking a Clinical Respiratory Manager (RCM) to join our team at LBJ Hospital. The RCM will be responsible for managing the daily operational and clinical functions of the respiratory department during assigned shifts. This leadership role includes coaching respiratory care personnel, implementing high-quality care delivery practices, and ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards. The RCM will assist the Director of Respiratory Care (DRC) in achieving departmental goals, managing resources, and maintaining excellent patient care standards.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program (CoARC or other advisory board-approved body).
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from AHA.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA.
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification (preferred).
    • Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure from the Texas Medical Board.
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the NBRC.
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in a clinical respiratory care setting.
  • Management Experience:
    • At least 3 years of related management or leadership experience.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Above-average verbal skills (heavy public contact).
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication (e.g., public speaking, correspondence, reports).
  • Other Skills:
    • Analytical, Design, Medical Terminology, PC proficiency, Research, Statistical Analysis, Word Processing.
  • Work Schedule:
    • Flexible, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and travel as needed.
